I’ve got a tackle box problem.
Actually, I’ve got about six tackle boxes worth of problems — all stuffed with soft plastics, crankbaits, jigs, and way too many packs of Senkos in colors I’ll probably never throw. If my bank account could talk, it would just sigh every time I walk into a tackle shop.
I’m a bass fisherman out of the Texas Gulf Coast area. I fish ponds, lakes, bayous, and pretty much any water that might hold a largemouth. I’m not a tournament pro. I’m not sponsored. I’m just a regular guy who spends way too much time thinking about which trailer to put on a jig.
Why I Started Lure Junky
Here’s the thing — I was tired of buying lures based on hype. You watch a YouTube video, some guy catches a giant on a bait, and next thing you know you’re $30 deep on a pack of soft plastics that don’t work anything like they showed.
I wanted honest reviews. Not “this company sent me free stuff so I’ll say it’s amazing” reviews. Real talk about what actually catches fish, what’s a waste of money, and what’s worth keeping in your rotation.
That’s what Lure Junky is. Every lure I review, I’ve fished. Every technique I write about, I’ve tried. If something sucks, I’ll tell you. If something is a fish-catching machine, I’ll tell you that too.
